What is WordPress maintenance?

WordPress maintenance involves the continuous upkeep of a WordPress website to ensure it remains up-to-date and operates smoothly. This includes installing updates, backing up data, optimising performance, and stronger security against potential threats. Regular maintenance is crucial as it ensures the website functions correctly and is shielded from security risks. Moreover, it enhances the user experience by ensuring the site is fast and reliable for visitors.

Is maintenance necessary for WordPress sites?

Absolutely. WordPress sites demand consistent upkeep to guarantee security, keep them current, and ensure proper functionality. Regular maintenance aids in preempting issues and sustaining the smooth operation of your WordPress site. Additionally, it helps avoid more severe problems that could cause extensive or expensive repairs.

Do I need to grant access to my WordPress dashboard?

Absolutely – at some stage, we’ll need to delve into the inner workings. Before doing so, we’ll send you our Non-disclosure Agreement. This formal document outlines our scope of work and ensures confidentiality while we’re working on your site.

Does support extend to hosting/server issues?

Absolutely. If your site is hosted by us, then yes, we’ve got you covered. Even if we’re not your web host, we’re happy to investigate any issues within your support timeframe. This includes tackling DNS and email issues, which can be quite technical, but fear not – we’re here to assist with those too.

I have substantial work required on my site – is it included in the support?

Our support plans allocate a specific amount of time each month for site work. If the work isn’t urgent, it can be distributed across your plan. However, if it’s urgent, please reach out to us directly.

I require support because my site is broken – can you fix it?

Yes, we provide a WordPress Quick Fix service starting at £49. Once fixed, we can then provide ongoing support via one of our WebCare plans.

Is there a minimum contract duration?

Our monthly plans operate on a rolling calendar month basis. Should you wish to cancel, simply provide us with one full calendar month’s notice. Please be aware that no refunds will be issued.

Are you located in the UK?

Absolutely. Our studio is situated in West Lancashire, and we collaborate with clients nationwide. Our entire team operates in-house, and we do not outsource support tickets.
